Journey Planner is a simple proof of concept app developed using Ionic 2, the point of which was to show how easy it is to create a cross-platform journey planning application with the Ionic framework.
The application uses Google Places Autocomplete service as well as the Geolocation plugin and makes calls to a 3rd party Public Transport Data service in order to search for journeys and retrieve the appropriate data. The user selects start and end points for their journey as well as date, time and preferred modes of transport. The available journeys are then quickly retrieved from the back-end service and displayed on screen.
